This place is amazing. As far as I know there is total 27 volcanoes in Costa Rica and this is the largest. Unfortunately the day we went it was cloudy. We can’t wait to go back!! – via

Très très belle rando dans le sentier menant au view point.. On peut percevoir des oiseaux dans le sentier. Le sentier est suffisament large pour dépasser si requis.
Accès facile ou à difficulté moyenne (section du belvédère)
La végétation est d’intérêt y compris des nids de termites.

La température était clémente à la fin de janvier 2023 (pas de pluie car assez éloigné de la côte carraibes)
C’est un parc à recommander même s’il n’est pas possible d’escalader son sommet car il s’agit d’un volcan toujours en activité.

L’Arenal : très différent du volcan Irazu qui n’a pas une seule goute d’eau dans son bassin contrairement aux photos déposées par un certain nombre d’internautes. – via
