Nakiska offers lessons and they are good with a few caveats that anybody booking should be aware of.
1. They have a cancellation policy that will only come into effect at -30°c, not including windchill. No child, or really anyone for that matter, will make any progress or have any fun below -20°c.
2. If your lesson is cancelled because of weather they can reschedule it for the best time that works for them. In our case, it was rescheduled for Easter weekend. Like most people, we have plans for this weekend and will have to forfeit our lesson since they are unwilling to offer any flexibility. – via

Too busy for the mountain quality. Cafeteria gouging on the poutine. You can get a poutine and a drink for $11 at Louise. Don’t get ripped off on poutine prices. The poutine at nakiska is not that good, they don’t even use real cheese curds, it’s grated mozzarella. classic – via

The rental starts with countless forms that you have to read and sign. Finally, you confirm an instruction, which you do not get despite asking. The skis and boots from the rental are okay. The staff seems partly overwhelmed – partly very competent. The kids area was nice.
As in all Canadian ski resorts, the prices are very high compared to Europe. I can only recommend every Canadian to take their skiing holiday to Austria. Despite flight and hotel you still save there…..

Die Hälfte der Pisten waren trotz gutem Wetter nicht präpariert oder komplett geschlossen – dementsprechend waren die Bedingungen nicht ideal. Der Verleih beginnt mit unzähligen Formularen, welche man lesen und unterschreiben muss. Abschließend bestätigt man eine Instruktion, welche man trotz Nachfrage nicht bekommt. Die Skier und Schuhe aus dem Verleih sind okay. Das Personal wirkt teilweise überfordert – teilweise sehr kompetent. Der Bereich für Kinder war schön.
Die Preise sind -wie in allen kanadischen Skigebieten- im Vergleich zu Europa sehr hoch. Ich kann jedem Kanadier nur empfehlen, den Skiurlaub nach Österreich zu verlegen. Trotz Flug und Hotel spart man da immer noch….. – via
