We stayed @ Orchid Bay Resort and asked about a Mayan Ruin tour. They told us they had a car service to take us to the boat where our guide would take us 26 miles up river to the Lamanai Ruin(which means subermeged crocodile) we got to see crocodiles,manatees,howler monkeys and toucans. Along with all kinds of other wildlife,plants and historical artifacts. They also served us breakfast and lunch which was a traditional Belizean meal. This was an amazing experience! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Lol! If you have the opportunity to take this tour. Do it! You won’t regret it the least bit. – via

Nice site to see Mayan ruins.
If you have an opportunity to take a speed boat to the ruins from Orange Walk it is definitely worth it over driving. – via
