I cannot say enough great things about our ice burg canoe tour! Zach was an awesome guide and it is clear he knows the lake and the ice like the back of his hand. The entire tour was packed with amazing views and we learned a ton about the glacier and the behavior of the ice. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is headed to Valdez! – via

– via

What a tour! We took the Canoe Iceberg tour and highly recommend both the agency and the tour itself. Jenny was a breeze to work with and extremely accomodating in scheduling as well as making last minute changes due to our itinerary. Photos don’t really do justice to the beauty and our guide Caleb was superb, took us to every single ice-cave as well as the glacier face. Being one of the few tours that start early, we were treated to a perfect mirror glacial lake and of course ice caves! – via

I would fully recommend the Ravencroft lodge to anyone who enjoys nature and sealife. Great location for a week of disconnection, amazing hospitality and really great family in charge of it. We went as a group of 4, looking for Salmon Sharks and other diving adventures, and Boone (the owner) was able to help us find more than what we wanted: paddleboarding among icebergs, diving with thousands of jellyfish, fishing salmon, swiming with sharks, watching humpback whales, sea lions… A very long list of amazing things to see and do. – via

A truly awesome place that makes the Alaskan wilderness comfortable. The staff and owner is very friendly and accommodating. They’re also patient with our persistent questions. The chef skillfully handled our dietary needs (I’m a vegetarian and others there were not) and spoiled us rotten with fresh food. I love that this place is more than a fishing lodge. It’s an eco and dive destination that really showcases wildlife for photos and experiences. I’ll definitely be back next year. – via

Where to start? Location: It’s amazing, picturesque beauty that folks love about Alaska. It starts out of Valdez with a delightful boat ride, and no telling what sea critters will be spotted along the way. In terms of diving, I was just as happy diving from the dock as from the boat. Staff: I felt welcomed from start to finish. Everyone was friendly & knowledgeable. Staff remained concerned for out wellbeing whether it was equipping us with bells, radios & bear spray. Or instructions and life jackets for paddle boarding. Activities: Hike, dive, fish, paddle board, nap, watch movies, relax in nature, sit on the dock and watch for sea critters, sit by the fire pit, walk on the beach. Guest rooms: Upstairs overlooking the property and is nestled into this plush rainforest area that gives the feeling of being in this wonderful tree house. Each room has 2 beds with 2 communal showers & 2 communal toilets and sinks. { I never waited to use either } Every inch was & remained clean & neat including the dining and living room despite multiple guests. Food: AMAZING!! And lots of it. I hate to sound like an infomercial, but Ravencroft exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to go back.

My trip to Ravencroft Lodge gave me more than I hoped for. A wonderfull experience in the midle of the raw Alaskan nature. The highlight of the trip for me were the Salmon sharks. A shark rarely seen by people and here I had the oppurtunity to snorkel with it. I even saw it breach the surface with its whole body once. My time at Ravencroft Lodge allso gave me the oppurtunity to see other wildlife such as eagles, sea otters, migrating salmon, orcas and even a bear (from a distanse) one time. One other special thing I experienced here were the diving in the Moon jellyfish bloom. A sureal feeling to dive in the midle of a group of hundred of thousands jellyfish. I would really like to recommend Ravencroft Lodge to every naturelover out there. The manager and his crew were very friendly and serviceminded and when asked they will teach you many things of the wildlife there. This is really a place that I would go back to. – via

The remote Ravencroft Lodge (nestled along the wooded shoreline of Fidalgo bay within Prince William Sound) is a quality destination spot that allows you to dive, fish, hike, photograph or simply relax at your leisure without any judgmental pressure. I recently enjoyed a very successful 5 day self-guided fishing trip at Ravencroft with a good friend who has made the trek several times over the years. It was a trip of a lifetime! We caught fish to the point of humility (Silvers, Pinks, Rock Fish, Cod, Halibut, etc…)! In addition to the amazing fishing, we saw plenty of wildlife: 4 Orcas, 2 bears (walking the shore line – one possibly a grizzly), lots of Bald Eagles, plenty of Otters, some Seals, heard an actual wolf howl for 10 minutes, and even saw a black wolf on the shore line!
Boone and the staff at Ravencroft were very friendly and generous with their information and services. The hand packed lunches were really appreciated and more than enough to sustain your caloric needs until dinner time. The hot showers and home cooked meals were an excellent way to warm up from the outside Alaskan elements. Even the comradery with the other anglers swapping stories fireside was truly a delight! The amenities are comfortable and relaxing. The fish cleaning station comes with a natural view overlooking the bay. The packaging area is clean and allows you to put your freshly caught fish into the deep freezers immediately.
I absolutely loved the trip and would go back again! For a very successful adventure, give Ravencroft a try and let Boone and their staff up your game! – via
