DriveTanks is truly a one-of-a-kind Texas attraction that everyone should experience. The staff are quite friendly and strike a great balance of professional & fun. I brought a large group of 60+ to the ranch and it was easy to navigate and everyone was accommodating. DriveTanks puts your safety first, but they’re also surprisingly hands-off too. They want you to have a great time. Highly recommend calling and booking well in advance. – via

Cross one more off the bucket list. Thanks To Tom the tank maestro! Was not sure, but low and behold, now i can say been there and done that! The Leopard tank was like driving a nothing else. Up, down and thru the water, what a kick. The Uzi was like he said good in a phone booth, the the mk5 was on spot. Well worth the costs, and a job well done. Look forward to a return trip. Tanks To Tom & Spencer, lol,, Thanks Guys!. Steve – via

Went here for my husband birthday celebration. I surprised him and it was more than amazing. We had a once in a lifetime experience. We traveled from San Antonio and the 2 hour drive was worth it! I can’t describe our experience in word’s because you have to do it to understand. The staff at the Lodge Sonia at Check in to Gabriel at Drivetanks were phenomenal! They went above and beyond to make my husbands birthday a day to never forget. Thank you to the person who owns this place, you are the man in the Bible who God blessed with a talent and multiple it, you were able to create jobs and bless them and they pour out there love and blessings to guest so thank you again sr. – via

It’s cool. Don’t get me wrong, but I’m not paying thousands to do what I got paid to do for 15 years. Staff were polite and the environment was great. But if I’m gonna pay thousands to fire a tank round, I want to shoot it at another tank 2500m away. This is just my opinion. Don’t let this review steer you away. – via

We went here last year and drove the leopard 1 wich was very fast and fun, we also shot the ppsh41, m60, and MG 42. This year we stayed in the barracks for a night it was a very cool place to stay. We drove the Abot and the M4 jumbo. We also shot the 152mm D20 cannon. We fired the flamethrower and the m60. The employees are very knowledgeable on their history of the tanks they also take safety seriously and are responsible. I loved this place there is no place like it. – via Google

This place is incredible. Where else can you drive/ ride a variety of tanks and then shoot a variety of weapons without having to enlist in the Army? Our cadre, Gabriel, was very welcoming, respectful, and informative. My 18 year old son, a WW2 history buff, first mentioned wanting to come here a few years ago. We live in Illinois, so it wasnt practical. That is until he enlisted in the Air Force. With his base only being a couple hours away, we had to make it happen. We are both so happy we did! Most all of the tanks here are operational and available to drive. They’ll let you climb in and check them all out. We were free to explore the garage/ museum area as much as we wanted, never rushed. It was a blast riding the course while my son drove a Scorpion tank. We’ll share these memories forever. Already looking forward to the next time we’ll be in the area and make it happen again. In addition to the tanks and guns, just driving up to this place is cool. There are all kinds of wildlife at the ranch. Im not even sure what some of them were. – via Google

I took my husband to Drive Tanks for his 50th birthday in 2021. It was an amazing surprise and absolutely blew his mind. We stayed in the barracks and loved every minute. As an army veteran and WWII buff, the tank barn alone was super cool. Add the small arms, driving a tank, and shooting the flame thrower, it became a trip I thought I could not top.
He came home and talked so much about the experience, my dad booked a trip for the whole family that fall.
It was fantastic! We have a second while family trip booked for this December when all of the grandkids are out of school.
Book it! You will not regret it! – via Google
