We went to celebrate my dads 60th birthday and the entire staff at Orange Skies made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited for our first jump. Orange Skies doles it right. I am 68, and obese, needless to say not just anyone, could strap to me. I was assigned to Matt, jump with this man, professional, respectful, and an expert. My jump was one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. From the initial, shock of air pressure pushing against me, to the intense braking energy, testing the strength of my harness, (remember I am a fat boy). Every phase of the jump was a new sensation for me. During free fall Matt put us into a very soft spin, so he is not beyond showing off. He also had me hold on to the risers, to give me a feel for, how much pull offers, what response. Matt will be my friend for life, it was his efforts that made every part of my jump, as good as it could possibly could be. I had forgotten what adrenaline felt like, going to go and find some more. Checked off first item on my bucket list. We all know improving on perfection is difficult, don’t take a chance with how your experience will be.

I would highly recommend taking the leap with Orange Skies.
My husband and daughter were going for her 18th birthday. I get motion sickness so I wasn’t going to go up with them, kinda rude to puke in someone’s plane.
I was having major FOMO so when we got there, I asked if maybe I could go with them. Matt said he’d be happy take me up. Did I mention, I’m also scared of heights? Matt was AMAZING! explained everything in simple terms that put me at ease.
Made me feel in control, but secure because, he knew what he was doing and I could just enjoy the ride. So very thankful for him and Orange Skies.
If I could give you some advice, DO IT!!! And also, perhaps wear padded bike shorts under your pants. The ground isn’t soft upon landing! – via

Wow, just wow! This place is unreal the staff and the experience was better than I could’ve imagined. I was scared but my instructor mike b made me feel so comfortable. This is my little quiet place now. I’ve jumped twice with Orange Skies and I never worry about safety or any potential issues. The team is passionate about what they offer to the public and even if you’re scared to consider this activity, just go for it. You won’t regret it. There is always a small degree of risk in life, so why not consider getting some of the coolest views you can only get from a free fall of 18k feet?!

I can’t wait until next year when the season reopens to jump again.

Also, don’t go the “test the indoor dive experience.” It’s not the same and this is like an experience unlike any other. Don’t be like me though, shut your damn mouth when you jump so you don’t look like a fool in your media package! – via
