Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Ins Meer führt eine Treppe in eine kleine Bucht, in der man sich abkühlen und auch schnorcheln kann.
Die Hotelanlage ist im Großen und Ganzen recht schön. Der Poolbereich ist leider etwas abgenutzt. Die Liegen sind schon älter und die Polster haben deutliche Flecken. Einige Holzlatten um den Pool herum sind nicht richtig befestigt, Schrauben stehen hier heraus. Ab der Hälfte unseres Aufenthalts war der Pool etwas schaumig geworden, was uns aber nicht vom Baden abhielt, immerhin ist es sehr warm hier.
Das Zimmer: Beim Check-in haben wir ein „Upgrade“ in die Vredenberg Suite erhalten und haben uns natürlich gefreut. Das zweite Schlafzimmer war zwar nicht nötig, aber man sagt ja nicht Nein. Dieses Zimmer hat eine Küche mit Herd, Ofen und Kaffeemaschine, jedoch fehlte es komplett an Geschirr, Besteck, Tassen und Gläsern. Da wir eh nicht kochen wollten, war es uns egal, aber richtig kann das ja nicht sein. Der größte Nachteil dieses „Upgrades“ hat uns am Montag um 7 Uhr erwartet, nämlich die Baustelle direkt daneben. Es sind wirklich nur drei Meter, nebenan wird neu gebaut und der Rohbau steht Stand Februar 2024 noch nicht. Da wir Freitagabend anreisten, merkten wir zunächst nichts von der Baustelle, aber Montag bis Freitag machen die einen Riesen Krach den ganzen Tag, sodass man auch nicht entspannt am Pool liegen kann. Vermutlich haben wir das Upgrade bekommen, weil die, die da gewohnt haben, es nicht mehr wollten.
Ansonsten sind die Zimmer ok, aber auch abgewohnt. Man kann es natürlich auch Used-Look oder ähnlich nennen.
Das Essen/Trinken bewerte ich beim entsprechenden Restaurant.
In Summe: Für ein paar Tage ist es schon ok hier, aber 1-2 Wochen würde ich hier nicht leben wollen mit der Baustelle. Auch beim Check-Out, als wir die Baustelle nur erwähnten, dass sie offensichtlich laut ist, wurde das ignoriert. Ein „sorry“ oder ein Gutschein für einen Drink wäre doch drin gewesen.
Wenn die Baustelle fertig ist, kann man es auch länger aushalten, aber vielleicht geht man dann besser direkt in das neue Hotel nebenan. – via

The scuba lodge is perfectly located in Willemstad. The infinity pool is amazing for sunsets and was barely used by others during our stay.
The staff (reception, cleaning and maintenance) were beyond helpful and so so nice!
The unlimited number of free street parking outside of the hotel is so convenient and was a huge bonus.

Stayed here for 7 days, and had a blast. This is truly a boutique hotel, with great rooms, We had a 1 bedroom balcony room with kitchenette, with a nice view. The staff is terrific, fun and accomodating, need anything and they are there for you. Easy access to Scuba Lodge Diving Pietermaai diving, and they have some great trips. We opted for the daily breakfast at the on site resturant De Heeren at sea, and was terrific, as was the food, a real treat. The location cant be beat, less than 10 minutes to the center of town, tons of other resturants in the area as well. But kuddos to the staff at Scuba Lodge especially Eveline, who is so helpful and friendly, Highly recomend this hotel for some relaxing time. – via

I did the Open Water Dive Course here in December 2022 with Bob, Bonnie, Joel and Abbey and cannot recommend them enough! The instructors were professional and knowledgeable, and the course was fun and informative. I felt safe and confident and had an amazing time exploring the dive sites! Their rental rates are extremely competitive and I will definitely be back to do the nitrox course and social dives as soon as I can! – via
