Rented a kayak from here in order to see the turtles (kayak south for around 30 minutes and you can see them). Cost $20 US per half hour – via

We were diving by ourselves privately, but we asked if they rent life jackets out, to which they let us borrow two for free for as long as we wanted! I then asked if they rent flippers, but was disappointed by their 10USD price point for one hour, which seems extortionate. I had to leave my ID behind too, so they could be sure I’d return the flippers, which is standard practice. Staff were friendly though! They do take card payment. – via

Great dive center in Barbados! We had a wonderful few days diving with Sim, Lenny and the rest of the crew.
We booked a few months in advance, and had a group of divers of varying experience to wrangle, including 1 doing his open water certification and 2 that hadn’t dived in a while so needed a refresher. Edwin helped us arrange everything via email. Upon arrival, they helped us arrange transport from our resort down the coast. They had all the equipment we needed, each dive was wonderful and safe, and we had such a fun time hanging out with the crew. Will absolutely dive here again next time we are in Barbados. – via

Cannot give this place enough stars! We came with a group and the Hightide team helped us organize a full week of diving. We reached out in advance so we could communicate the number of divers and our certification levels. They even helped coordinate a surprise party on one of the dives. We felt so welcome and at home with these amazing people.

We booked the open water course dives for 2 with Hightide after completing the online and pool components in Canada. We sent our Padi information ahead of time and were asked to confirm once we were in Barbados. Unfortunately rough conditions / surge threatened to derail our plans but we were lucky with windows of good weather and spent 2 half-days with the Master Diver Trainer, Edwin. We had an absolute blast. The process was efficient, informative, and fun. Edwin’s sense of humour kept us on our toes. Equipment was ready for us, the dive boat is ready to go, the staff were helpful, safety was first.
Re other recent reviews… I think if you expect perfect administration from a dive shop on a beach in Barbados… These guys are on the water all day. If your group is derailed and you rally each individual to leave a 1-star review… From my perspective as a new diver who has done a few dives around the world before finally getting licensed, these guys, and certainly Edwin, were very good at what they do. Definitely deserving of 5-stars. – via

dive school was unable to arrange a booked dive.
we booked 2 dives the day before and drove there for 45mins but as the reservation obviously was not transferred into the handwritten log the school keeps at their shop, they were unable to keep the reservation due to lack of personnel.
their reaction to this was very unfriendly lacking any kind of apology or offer to reschedule etc. – „not in the log – no dive“ was repeated by an elderly man in kind of an aggressive manner repeatedly. mistakes happen, how they are dealt with makes a difference. as this seems to have happend before judging by other reviews, I would strongly recommend choosing a different company for your dive. – via

Having booked a refresher course with following dive, on arrival, there was no record in the handwritten book on the counter. The attending divemasters made us understand in a demeaning manner, that this was our problem and undertook no effort in rearranging the dive or offering a solution. This does not inspire confidence in the quality of operations. We would not try to book again. – via
