If you have come across this “ProDive Scuba Diving Centre Plettenberg Bay” looking for a Dive provider and location, STOP, go no further. ProDive Plettenburg bay is where you need to be. Awesome, fabulous, above and beyond, just don’t describe them enough. There is just no word.
5 stars is just not enough!
We were staying in Storms River Rest Camp, and my poor wife who is a water baby was firstly worried about snorkelling in the sea, and secondly, did not have a swimming buddy. I am a land mammal 🙂 so, unfortunately, wife was not getting her water fix.
So, I started searching Snorkelling places for a surprise birthday present and came across Prodive Plettenburg Bay. I thought for her late 50’s birthday, I would plan a snorkel with her among professionals. A few back and forth Whatsapp’s and eventually, Louis, the owner phoned me.
He suggested, what about a proper dive!!! No I said. My wife has had two back opps and will not be able to handle it! She will never handle a tank and gear on her back. Louis replied that they would 100% look after her. Teach her, put her in the pool for an hour and then an open sea dive. THEY would carry all her equipment, help her put it on “in the water” without having to take the weight on land, and ensure she was OK in every respect.
The rest is history.
Well, they did just that and went above and beyond! The whole team there welcomed us on arrival and took my wife under their arms. When it came to the pool training and the open dive, the ladies, and guys, NOT JUST carried my wife’s equipment, but everyone that was participating.
My wife ended the day scuba diving with the seals for her open water and literally could just burst with joy after the experience.
She enjoyed it so much, I decided to book her on a reef dive the next day. Again, service above and beyond by everyone at ProDvide Plettenburg Bay. All equipment was ready and loaded. My wife just had to put their wet suit on and off they went.
For the reef dive, there were 6 participants (if I remember correctly) and 3 crew members that went down with them. 1 just shadowing a professional diver / photographer (keeping everyone else out the way), the second crew member looking after the other 4 experienced divers out for the day, and one crew member literally looking after my wife.
Just watching my wife’s joy afterwards gives me “hoender vleis”
Seriously, look no further. Call them now. If we are ever back in Plett, we will definitely be going there again.
