We did our advanced open water course here and were very happy with the professional, funny and knowledgeable instructor. We felt very safe during all our dives and feel we have learned a lot. During the dives there also was enough time to check out the amazing marine life at the diving spots like the blacktip shark, Galapagos robin, a huge school of striped salema, a stingray. During the night dive we saw huge lobsters, a huge seasnail and a white tip reefshark. We are very happy with our experience here. – via

After many years of wanting to learn to scuba dive, I finally decided to sign up for the PADI open water course during my stay in the Galapagos. I visited almost every dive shop in Puerto Ayora before coming to Tip Top. I wanted to be sure to find an instructor that made me feel safe and at ease. When I arrived to Tip Top, Javier immediately stood out as the most personable and attentive instructor that I had met. He was understanding and fexible with my schedule in organizing the days for my pool and open water sessions since I wasn’t able to do them all in a row. And, during the sessions, he explained each skill clearly and made sure that all the students in our class understood exactly how to perform each task and why each skill was important to know. He is very patient and his calm nature put us all at ease. All and all, learning to scuba dive was one of the most fun times I’ve had! I can’t wait to dive more. Javier is wonderful! I highly recommend Tip Top of you’re getting your PADI! The staff are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and safe. They have years of experience and it really shows!

I wasn’t particularly confident going into my Open Water Diver PADI. My instructor Javier carefully explained each exercise, answered all questions, and worked with me in the areas I didn’t feel comfortable. I really can’t thank him enough. His expertise, patience, and calm approach made me feel really at ease. I left with both my OWD PADI and a bit more confidence.
