AAO has been a fantastic experience, my family did discover scuba and we have moved on to open water certification. The staff and instructors have been nothing short of excellent. We will continue to deal with AAO and look forward to a long diving relationship! – via

Dive shop looks really nice, prices are competitive with most online dive shops, and the in shop help was really good. But my experience trying to take a class with them was awful.

Had been emailing them for over a month to try to get the class done, took 2 weeks just to get the info on how to go get the online course work (which I picked up within 2 days of the email and completed 2 days after that), and then they just completely left me hanging on the checkout dives. Emailed them the day I finished the class, took nearly a week to get a response about possible checkout dates, set tentative dates, then never heard back. Been more than a week now since I’ve heard anything from the instructor when we were supposed to be doing the checkouts this past weekend.

Finally got sick of waiting more than a week for replies and went through Cookie’s Scuba for the checkouts. Chris was amazing and even though we first got in contact on Friday, he had me done with the class Sunday, one of the most intense and well structured classes I’ve ever taken. I’ll be using Cookie’s from now on for all of my SDI and Tech classes.

I get things come up, and that they’re busy. But either say you cant do the class and don’t take my money, or keep me updated. Just not responding to emails after you already took my money for over a week is utterly unacceptable. – via
