my fav dive op in Coz. fast boat with experienced crew and divers. very rarely do you run into a bad diver with them. every morning we get out early without any issues and then get back early and beat all the other divers to the lunch rush. since the boat is smaller, we all get to democratically pick the dive site which seems to be rare on most dive boats. A+, thx Tres. – via google

We had a fantastic time diving with Island Divers Cozumel. Danny and Lori went above and beyond, always ensuring we had things to do and places to see when the weather wasn’t cooperating for diving. Their team is wonderful and we are already trying to figure out when we can go again! – via google

We just completed an amazing week of diving with Tres Pelicanos in Cozumel. Fantastic dives and most importantly the Team that is professional, know the location and care for you to see as much as possible. From Captain to Dive Masters Jose and George. The night dive was fantastic. Yesterday was our last dive. Sense of humor made the boat rock! All the best, Tres Pelicanos! See you next year. Cheers – via google

The pool finally opened and a good dive was had. Ran into some sketchy weather and many were canceled. The dive master, kept me informed while the harbor stayed closed. These guys were so customer oriented and friendly, it was like diving with old college buddies. Great dive, great crew, great time. Thanks amigos at Tres PELICANOS – via google

My close friend Cindy is why I chose this location. She highly recommended your dive shop and has dove with you many times. She knows what she’s talking about! The dive shop was present and ready, early every morning. I stayed diagonally across the street at Carlos’ Quinta Suites. I wanted a basic open dive certification and was to be under the supervision of Servando. It was a perfect experience – slow season, 1-on-1 with him. He was excellent and spoke/understood English quite well. We did 7 dives together: 3 from shore for testing and skills learning, and 4 from the boat. All 4 dives from the boat were distinctly different. A current (fast lateral movement) dive, a deep dive, a shipwreck explore, and a final (most basic) dive. Well worth the cost and an incredible dive instructor.

Thank you Servando & Tres Pelicanos <3

Great shop, great people, great dives. Wife and I did three day dives and one night dive. Jorge and Jose were great dive masters. Knew where to spot eels, octopuses, other fauna. Steve kept in contact, made sure everything was perfecto. Will definitely be back! – via google

Amazing time diving with Tres Pelicanos. Running on 2 200hp engines, the Skinny Shark was faster than any other boat I saw. Jorge and Jose pointed out sea horses on almost every dive and are in general very knowledgeable guides. Whether you are advanced or not, Tres Pelicanos will customize your experience and ensure an enjoyable trip. I would certainly dive with Tres Pelicanos again. – via google

Dove mid-January, when currents and weather are unpredictable. Boats are fast so you get out to the reef before the large operations. Both crews were great.

Communication from the office was quick and attentive. It’s a real bonus having a downtown shop to meet at. – via google

5.0/ 5

Just completed a week in Cozumel, and had a great experience. My partner is a very experienced diver and I have about 25 dives under my belt. While here I completed my AOW as well. We completed 13 dives over 5 days with mostly morning dives and one twilight/night dive. Jorge was our dive master every day for our larger group and was great. Jose was my instructor for AOW and stayed with us through the week and equally as great. Both have a great sense of humor, patients and focused on you having a great experiences. The boat captains were also great and we felt safe the whole time. Also excellent customer service, they have smaller boats so it allowed for a great dive experience. You also know this is a great ship as almost everyone we met in the boat had been coming back here for years with this shop and raved about them. We corresponded with Jeannie in the office leading up to the trip and during our time and she was very responsive and a great communicator. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel each day. Highly recommend this dove shop for your time in Cozumel! – via google

This past week was our second time spending a week diving with tres pelicanos over the years and they will always be our outfit of choice when diving in cozumel. I had some ear issues this week and had to bail on two dives, mid-dive, and the captain was always right there to help. They were accommodating on many fronts, from our schedule changes, to their professionalism, and are safe and fun. 10/10 operation. – via google

5.0/ 5

I dove the week before Thanksgiving 2022 and the dives and staff were awesome. Many dive sites to choose from and staff was great. Water and snacks between dives, great conversations. They were able to avoid the large dive groups from the cruise lines, so it was just our dive group and much more relaxed. They seem to know every dive site/reef around the island and having fast boats helped reduced the transit time. Very knowledgeable about marine life at which reef, what part of the year. Every dive was Nitrox and for me the 100cf tanks were great. I was able to coordinate/plan all my dives and pay for them in advance, which made things easy on my end. Also after every dive the shop cleans and prepares your gear for the next day. I had only 1 night dive but it was awesome.

I am coming back in June and Tres Pelicanos Dive Center is now my only dive center to consider. I would not change anything. Can’t wait till my next dive trip with them. – via google

3.0/ 5

We had an overall good experience here, but with some things to note. The transfer by taxi to the harbour went really smooth, then the boat&gear were ready for us. The dives were in really nice places (Palancar+Tormentos) and the master diver seemed well experienced and also helped me out at some point. On the boat we received cake, watermelon, water.
In my opinion this place seemed good for advanced divers but not so beginner-friendly: us two did the OWD just weeks ago, and we got to dive with some experienced American divers – so there was no briefing or any concrete plan (“everyone to the bottom!”); and there was not possible to discuss much on that boat. In the shop we had been told that we would dive up to around 20 metres (we have only the OWD/18 metres), then we actually ended up going to 25. This was fine, we didn’t have any issues with the depth, but we only found out about this when we were at the sea bottom. If I’m not mistaken, there was one master diver for 8 people diving, plus one boat captain who was helping out on the boat.
Actual issues: the equipment we rented was quite worn out and also when we were in the boat we had to work on fixing some stuff by one of the tanks (luckily we noticed the leaking). Also other people pointed out issues with tanks. I was then seeing in the water how the tube connected to my first stage was leaking air.
One of the American divers had a more serious issue caused by equipment, so she didn’t want to dive for the second time.
Another thing: we paid quite much for the two dives, apparently more than the average in Cozumel. It was quite americanized by this center: values were in feet, prices in dollars, with tipping and so on.
As a comparison, few days ago we had a two-tank day in Mahahual and it was like from a totally different world (highly professional and explaining stuff+newest gear+them double-checking all our equipment in front of us). They also said that they don’t mix up groups (beginners, advanced, photographers), which seemed about right for me. This all was for 70% of the price we paid by 3P in Cozumel… – via google
