This place is one of the best islands I’ve been to the staff are excellent and feels like home away from home The helicopter drip arriving there was very nice to see what the island looks like and scuba diving there is awesome because there is a great reef and the food is excellent with traditional African cuisine and the rooms are very traditional And luxury definitely recommended. – via google

The positives are incredible staff who work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is good but maybe doesn’t match the price mark. The beach doesn’t look appealing at all when the tide is out and there are lots of rocks. If the price was half of what it was it would be better value. We left feeling a bit ripped off. We also had an issue before leaving that was never followed up on when they said they would. Overall we wouldn’t come back and feel your money would be better spent elsewhere. – via google

10/10

Yanis and his team did everything to make our stay wonderful so that we didn’t want to leave and extended again and again.

Food 10/10

The activities were excellent. We saw so many dolphins each time and so much more.

Above all we wish to mention the other guests. Everyone we met at the resort was quiet but cheerful. We are often afraid when visiting holiday resorts of having loud “instegramer selfie takers”, but this place attracts such pleasant clientele.

Definitely will visit again – via google

Paradise Found

Our seven days at Anantara was superb! A unique destination where memories are made.

From the moment we arrived at the airport in Vilankulos and took off in the Helicopter we knew that we were in for a magical experience.

The resort despite that it is an old establishment, is well maintained and the gardens lush. We stayed in one of the beach villas – they are spacious and tastefully decorated and fit in well with the African / tropical/ island theme.

The food was splendid – fresh, tasteful and wonderful variety – by far the best seafood I have ever tasted.

The Breakfast buffet had everything that you need, and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The eggs, pancakes and the pastries, selection of juices, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruits, cold cuts – everyday they had something different and special to try.

With the beautiful warm weather we indulged in refreshing cocktails. They were creative and tried almost all of them on the menu. After 3 days the bartender took some initiative and skillfully created our favorite G&T with a touch of mint & cucumber. Definitely a hit!

We loved the themed night buffets for dinner. The chefs were friendly and assisted with our requests without a whim.

The resort has a vast offering of activities – for the adventurous and for the avid bird watcher. Water sports and activities – snorkeling, diving, fishing, island picnics, dhow cruse at sunset – WOW! Some of the activities have an add charge – but really worth to do of them.

The staff in general are relaxed, not the usual five star that you expect. But go out of their way to assist you in a friendly and helpful manner.

Lourenco who is the guide, is knowledgeable, patient and very polite. He dove into the history and local people on the island, most interesting.

For many of the people this is a lifetime trip, but for us is a place that we will revisit and recommend to all to visit.
Not only for the resort experience but the island itself it will blow you away. – via google

Tranquil all inclusive resort on a beautiful island.

Service: B+ Everyone is generally happy to serve. Individuals go out of their way to cater to your needs. A La Cart Dining does take a while to serve food.

Food: B I was impressed by choice of all inclusive spirits, wine and cocktails. Good quality too. Food was good but did not have much variation. Presentation was also a bit lackluster. Unlimited Lobster at the Mozambican BBQ was a hit.

Accommodations: B- Being so remote and exposed to the elements, Resort needs constant maintenance and attention. The rooms are spacious. Definitely need better conditioner.

Property Location: A Very close to the calm water side and isolated.

Activities: A Really enjoyed horseback riding, Sand Surfing, Scuba and Beach Picnic

Entertainment: N/A No Entertainment like Dancing or Fire Show. After dinner its the usual off to bed or look up to find a beautiful starlit sky. – via google
