Dive instructor Reid, Helped me to complete my open water diving certification. I was very nervous and had some difficulties during the certification process, but Reid was very patient and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in the water and help me finish my certification. We did a 2 tank discovery dive with Shaun. What an amazing introduction to SCUBA, he was both knowledgeable and entertaining. Once in the water he did a great job multi-tasking to keep us safe while making time to point out all the really great creatures and teach us about them. The dive shop itself was great to work with and made us feel welcome even as novices. – via

Fathom Five will take you to see the best scuba diving there is in Hawaii, outside of a couple unique dive sites that are specific to Kona.
I highly recommend the 3 tank boat dive over the 2 tank, as you get access to premium snacks and lunch. But if all you can fit into your schedule is the 2 tank dives, then those are great too!
Loni, Jordan, and Bo (sp?) were all great to dive with. Won’t bug you if you’re an advanced diver and are patient with the new divers.
My only complaint is that over 3 days of diving, I hit the same site all 3 days (Sheraton Caverns), but to be fair it’s a pretty cool site that never disappoints. They made it a point to make all of my other dives unique and I appreciate that. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to dive in Hawaii. – via

Did the 2-tank dive with Loni. Excellent sites selected, with a great tour. Loni pointed out and identified just about everything we saw on the dive. Good gear, nice boat, and the captain made getting in/out of the water and getting gear on/off a breeze. Next time I dive in Kauai I’ll use Fathom Five Divers. – via

Second time diving with the shop and second time a great experience! Dove boat and shore as cert diver tagalong. Relaxed and knowledgeable dive masters, great paste and customer service. Would be nice to have a bit better fitting gear but not a big deal. Overall solid shop, recommend – via
