Agréable hôtel en bord de mer, chouette jardin avec vue sur Puerto Mog…
Pleasant hotel by the sea, nice garden with a view of Puerto Mogan.
Very good hotel for people who don’t move around too much and are satisfied with unoriginal international buffets.
Staff available, efficient and smiling??
But he can really do better on a lot of points…
The varied food is not exceptional but it’s okay… The restaurant is not very practical with two buffet areas not containing the same thing and a central area with live cooking… In the end we end up in a station hall where everyone passes each other in all directions and where it is very noisy??
Big negative point, it lacks Canarian or at least Spanish cuisine!
The All-in offer is insufficient… especially in terms of the drinks offered which are of low quality (very bad wine, sparkling wine (on tap!??) and beer). The pre-prepared cocktails are really so-so, avoid the pool bar and prefer to have your drinks at the indoor bars.
The snacks are only fries, hot dogs, hamburgers plus a little salad and self-service cake depending on what is left of the lunch buffet…for a fee you can have pancakes.
All-IN plus and premium formula at 17€ and 23€ more per day per person without comment…
No picnic service, you have to help yourself to breakfast, prepare and take your picnic yourself.. On
the other hand, it is possible to have breakfast at 7 a.m. or even before the day of departure, which is very good.
The rooms are okay, nothing more, even the freshly renovated one we had (503). New decor and furniture but big, big flaws: floor tiles that crack and move, shower screen that lets water through (beware of flooding!), a few ants when we were on the 7th floor (a dead cockroach view in the hallway too)
The kingsize bed is comfortable, however the extra bed (convertible sofa) is a horror, fortunately our daughter does not weigh much but it is unimaginable for an adult to sleep on it.
Great activity (Mini disco) for children in the evening before the daily show. These are very varied and very good, a real positive point. Great team of entertainers!
Well equipped games room.
Miniclub not tried.
The swimming pools are good but we only tested the heated one because the other was a little too cold (travel in February).
Well located if you don’t plan to move around too much and enjoy the beach and swimming pools. But much less well located as a starting point for visiting the island… and even for going to Mogan where it is obligatory to take the GC-1 to the Puerto Rico exit to turn back to Puerto Mogan. So it doesn’t make you want to get back in the car (if you have one) in the evening to walk around the port, which we had planned to do but ultimately didn’t do… too bad.
It would be so practical to re-establish the connection via the gc-500, whereby it wouldn’t even take 5 minutes by car and it would even be possible to make the journey on foot! But hey, the hotel is not responsible for the roads, they clearly suffer as does Puerto Mogan.
Parking available at an incredible price of €20 per day! Prefer the few paid places on the street at €6 per day or the fine at €8??.
Otherwise there is free parking at the entrance to Taurito, allow a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
The Taurito area is very well served by bus. – via
