My partner and I did our NAUI Open Water certifications and it was a fantastic experience! Our instructor Jake was kind, patient, and supportive throughout and helped us pass our skills with flying colours. He also gave us great recommendations for near-by restaurants and events. All the shop staff were a joy to interact with and the dive shop dogs were a fantastic greeting squad. All the fellow divers were a joy, giving us great tips for starters and helping calm our nerves. We couldn’t ask for a better community to start our diving careers with.

The dives we did were absolutely gorgeous (though we don’t have any comparisons), and we saw so much wild life. Nurse sharks, a sea turtle, barracudas, a moray eel and so much more. We’re so excited to keep diving! – via google

Great dive shop. I did a scuba refresher, as it has been about 7 years since I’d been diving. Lee, my instructor was thorough, without belaboring things. We focused on skills that were rusty, as it should be. Lee was supportive and encouraging throughout.

The crew on the boat were great, giving clear instructions and great orientations to the two dive sites we dropped on.

Tons of fish. The reefs here are a little beat up and bleached out, but that’s climate change and nothing to do with the dive operators. All in all a great re-introduction to scuba. – via google

I’ve been with many dive outfitters.

Without doubt this has been the best experience scuba diving. The respect experienced and proficient divers, allowing you to enjoy the experience with your dive buddy instead of forcing you to dive with a “guide”.

Also, they’re the only dive outfit I’ve seen that allows properly permitted divers to harvest. But obviously they require proper size and bag limits because they’re responsible if you take underside…. My first trip with them I had no buddy, the gave me a guide for free and also lent me a spear for lion fish (they’re invasive species and don’t require a permit to harvest).

Their boats are in good condition and the owners are very nice people. The staff seem to enjoy working there.

Surprisingly, for such a fantastic outfit they’re also one of the least expensive dive outfitters I’ve encountered down the keys.

They also specialize in wreck diving and will cater their trips to the customers who book trips well in advance. – via google

Spent this past weekend diving with Conch Republic and my Isla Divers family. It was an absolute blast! The captain and crew are very professional, and expertly skilled at their jobs. From the safety briefing at the dock to the pre-dive briefing/sight description before entering the water. They are top notch and thorough with their explanations of how to perform the dives. There was a small learning curve for some of our crew that are used to drift diving reefs rather than leaving and returning to a mooring line/ball. But we got that worked out quickly. I’d highly recommend them for anyone looking for a safe, friendly, and competent dive charter in the key largo/Tavernier area. I’ll be coming back sooner than later to do some more wreck explorations! ???????? – via google

Dove with them this afternoon – Captain was exactly as laid back as you want him to be: right on top of safety and navigation, clear simple brief on the dive itself without adding to stress for new divers on the boat.
Mate was right on top of everyone’s gear without being in the way, diagnosed & fixed a minor gear issue in about two seconds.

Felt very safe taking my 15 year old son on his first ocean dive with them, will definitely be back. – via google

The staff is very helpful and very friendly and down to earth. None of the boats that we were on were too crowded. If you’re reading this review right now, don’t hesitate, book your dives with CRD, you won’t be disappointed. I wish I found out CRD earlier and didn’t waste time and money with another well known operator.

The boat was clean and spacious. The owner spent a lot of money upgrading the boat. The captain, crew and DMs were super chill, friendly and caring. They provided ice water, cooler, snacks for the dive trip. There is fresh water on boat, so you can shower after the dives. They also have camera bucket and one mask bucket on board.

The captain gave detailed briefing before each dive. He showed us the dive plan on those hand drawling maps. He also taught us about wind and current direction. The crew was patient and helpful. He always helps me get up and walks me back to my seat after the dive.

We had DM Jake for our morning dive, he kept checking on us to make sure we were safe and ok.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with CRD and I highly recommend it to everyone. – via google

Great dive op! Couldn’t ask for anything else in a dive operation. Thorough, affordable, awesome customer service, updated boats and equipment (the new “Sea Deck” on The Republic is awesome), and great dive sites makes this the premier dive op in the Upper Keys. I’ve dove with them two years now and the new owners took a seasoned, well oiled machine and polished it to be even better, which I didn’t think was possible. Rented bottles for the resort and did 8 dives with them. ZERO complaints! Highly recommend. – via google

Thanks for all your help this winter. I rented gear for my own dives, tanks and went out with ur boat multiple times over the winter and had a great time. Being newer to diving the crew took amazing care with us and helped me with my new equipment on shore before the dive.. Everyone at the shop was so helpful every time I called or stopped by(I prob rented gear/tanks or dove with them 7 times over 2 months) and always has a smiling employee willing to answer my questions or help.. We had an excellent, all round dive experience with Conch Republic – from the “last minute” confirmation after another local dive shop cancelled without notifying ( thank you for making this happen Ashley), excellent captain (Jason) who provided detailed safety instruction, seeking out the best dive site (taking into account current and visibility), specific dive guidance and made a great, positive, relaxed environment onboard The boat was meticulously clean and extremely well maintained. We will definitely be returning to Conch Republic for our next dive trip to Key Largo / Islamorada.

I had a fantastic time diving with Conch Republic Divers Shop!! A group of friends and I planned 11 dives over a span of three days and during that time I felt extremely welcomed and accepted by the crew! The best dive trips in the Keys. Ashley and Dave were awesome guides and made sure that me and my daughter had a wonderful trip. The captain and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and accommodating. The boat is the nicest around. It was clean and had a padded non-slip floor for increased safety in rougher seas. We have dove with five different dive operators from Key Largo to Big Pine in the past year, and Conch Republic Divers is hands down the best. – via google

First time ever diving so I did the discovery dive and my girlfriend did a refresher. They got us in pretty last minute so that was awesome. The staff was very nice and answered any question we had. Did a quick pool lesson with Donna until she thought we were comfortable to head out on the ocean. Once we got out they double checked all gear then put us in the water. Saw lots of nurses sharks eels and fish. Only reason for giving 4 stars is the guides had no problem with touching the Reef or wildlife and they were OK with everyone else doing so. I don’t know if that’s a florida thing but I know a lot of other places that’s a big NO NO if you want the reefs to stay healthy. Would definitely recommend and go again. – via google
