We did the 45 min snorkelling tour and it was so great! We hadn’t booked beforehand and just showed up. They were able to take us on the tour straight away. The water was not very calm, and we were warned before, that it could be difficult to see something. But this was not a problem, our guide was great and we saw a lot of turtles, fish, a moray eel and a stingray! – via google

This was a beautiful beach spot to watch the sea turtles. I either saw one turtle twice or two turtles! It was fun and the day was sunny and warm.

My only advice is to have an underwater camera or video the entire experience and edit later. Cell phones are tough to operate in the waterproof pouches and don’t respond well under the surface of the water. – via google

We paid 600MXN for the 45 minute snorkel tour. Mask and life jackets included. Ibrahim, our nice guide, took us out by boat and accompanied the entire tour. It was really nice, although the water was quite murky due to the strong wind. We saw stingrays, colorful fish and some sea turtles. The water very impressive.
However, the bay is full of snorkelers and everyone gathers around the sighted animals. It’s extremely annoying – but you’re part of the problem yourself… The animals don’t seem to be impressed.
In summary one can say: it was great and is to be recommended, but it is questionable whether it will continue to this extent for a long time.

Wir waren spontan in Akumal und haben aufgrund der guten Rezensionen das Akumal Dive Center ausgewählt. Wir konnten dort sogar kostenlos parken . Wir waren allerdings früh dort. Es hat nicht so wahnsinnig viele Parkplätze direkt am Dive Center.
Wir haben für die 45 Minuten Schnorcheltour 600MXN bezahlt. Maske und Schwimmwesten inklusive. Ibrahim, unser netter Guide hat uns mit dem Boot raus gefahren und die gesamte Tour begleitet. Es war wirklich schön, wobei das Wasser aufgrund des starken Windes recht trüb war. Wir haben Stachelrochen, bunte Fische und einige Meeresschildkröten gesehen. Das Wasser sehr beeindruckend.
Allerdings ist die Bucht voller Schnorchler und alle sammeln sich um die gesichteten Tiere Das ist extrem nervig – aber man ist ja selbst Teil des Problems… Die Tiere scheint das wenig zu beeindrucken.
Zusammenfassend kann man sagen: war toll und ist zu empfehlen, aber ob das in dem Ausmaß noch lange gut geht, ist fraglich. – via google
