I went on a whale watch with CaboTrek about a week ago with 3 friends and we all had such a great time. The guide and captain were amazing (I really wish I remembered their names)!! We saw more whales than we expected and learned a lot about the area and its marine life. Our guide was friendly, funny, and super knowledgable. We all had so much fun and our time on the tour flew by. Check in was easy and location directions given were super clear and helpful. CaboTrek made it a really great experience, absolutely recommend! (Afterwards, our guide even sent us the amazing pictures she took on our tour! See attached for just a few!) – via google

We went on a whale watching tour yesterday, and after going on similar tours across 3 continents, several oceans, and both US coasts, this was hands down the best tour we’ve been on. Part was just luck- both with the season and because our boat went out further from the marina than most of the small glass-bottom boats. The effect was that we were alone when a pair of whales decided to let us watch them breach and play in the same spot for nearly an hour. I have never been this close or seen the whales seem so at ease and happy. We also came back closer to shore to see another pair of whales swim peacefully right by the beach, and then a mother and calf, and a couple others. (Maybe 10 whales in total?) We specifically booked this tour because we wanted a guide with a scientific background and an emphasis on boating practices that prioritize the safety and welfare of the whales. Andrea was a fantastic guide, our captain did an expert job navigating the whales (which was to be expected after his amazingly tight and technical reverse exit from the marina at the start of our trip) and we were excited that images from our trip will be contributed to HappyWhale for further research and protection. I could not recommend this trip more highly! It was a core memory we’ll take with us for years, and we felt really great about supporting this company. One side note that I think is important- this boat also had a bathroom, which is nice compared to some of the smaller boats, just in case someone needs to pee or feels ill. – via google

One of the better companies with the proper certifications and guides that are marine biologists. We learned a lot about whales and it was interesting. They can live to 90 years old! The boat captain guided the boat smoothly. They found a calf and its mother cruising along the coast. We watched the calf breaching the water for 10-15 minutes! Then cruised back and found an adult whale slapping its fins on the surface loudly. Stopped at a quiet area and listened to whales communicating with an underwater microphone. Beautiful way to experience these huge creatures. Def would recommend! – via google

El catamaran es muy grande, limpio y cómodo, íbamos 11 en mi familia y todos estuvimos muy cómodos
Todo el equipo es muy servicial y atentos, respondían nuestras dudas y son muy pacientes, sobre todo con los niños.
La comida y bebidas deliciosas!!
Llevan todo el equipo para snorkel, kayaks, paddle board, para nadar y hasta toallas!!

We had an amazing trip whale watching with Cabo Trek! Our captain, Freddy, had a great eye for spotting whales and getting us over to them quickly! He was respectful of the whale and other boaters which kept us all feeling safe the entire trip. Our guide was Vanuza (a marine biologist), she was so friendly and knowledgeable, she kept everyone interested by sharing interesting facts with us about the whales and other sea life. Vanuza took pictures of us and the whales we saw throughout the trip, we purchased the package because we were too excited to take pictures and she is a great photographer! It was an incredible experience to see the humpback and gray whales to close and I would recommend this tour to anyone lucky enough to be in Cabo at this time of year. – via google

We had 144 people from our destination wedding who went whale-watching together IN 10 DIFFERENT BOATS( we did not want ONE BIG BOAT)!!!! Philipp (the owner) did the MOST AMAZING JOB of getting this to HAPPEN!!! The planning and pulling off the logistics of such an event was an accomplishment that everyone attending truly appreciated. He organized everyone into groups of 14 – 16, had a printed table with our names and boat names laid out, got us on boats, got us off boats, loaded us in the roundtrip bus transportation, and it was a totally phenomenal seamless process.

Every boat had a captain and a marine biologist or naturalist on board. We got great history and progress of whale conservation, migration and tracking. The teams have a lot of knowledge, passion, and love of the whales and the importance of our role in preserving the oceans on which they and we depend.

Our own boat saw over 25 whales breaching, other boats saw babies jumping out. We were able to get up close and personal with sea lions, pods of dolphins swimming with our boat, and humpbacks. Our naturalist Pepe was very knowledgeable while still taking photos the entire time. The captain motored us around arches and sea lions, and we were near whales but not in their habitat; the crew were environmentally aware of the boat’s influence on the whale’s behavior. The intimate group setting made the sightseeing more enjoyable and gave us the opportunity to see the whales closer but at a safe distance for them than you would on a bigger boat.

The knowledge that was explained to us throughout the time was interesting and educated us on how whales interact and live. The added bonus of getting all the photos taken of the whales during the trip was awesome. The naturalist’s knowledge and our small passenger numbers made this an A+++ trip of a lifetime. – via google

My husband and I had a fantastic whale watching trip with CaboTrek on Monday 9 January 2023.
On the way out we saw sea lions and then 2 different pairs of adult whales once on the Pacific side. At one point, a whale came withing 15 +/- feet of the boat, which was exciting. Heading back, we came upon the trip highlight – a mother whale with her baby! Just awe inspiring! Then our driver, Adrian, spotted some juvenile rays and took us to see them.
Andrea was our tour biologist and she was very knowledgeable, passionate about the whales and personable. She speaks, at least, 3 languages so can communicate with everyone.
Adrian was a great driver and consistently positioned the boat so that we had the sun to our backs for good whale viewing and photo opportunities.
I also liked the company, CaboTrek, because they work with the local group(s) striving to protect whales, sea life, and the ocean.

I highly recommend CaboTrek, Andrea and Adrian and would go whale watching with this group again; although, next time, I might go for some diving instead.

I had the most amazing experience whale watching this morning. We saw an incredible number of whales, including a breach, and a couple even came right up to our boat.

Angie, our marine biologist guide, was super knowledgeable and shared a lot — without overwhelming us with information. Our captain was also great and quickly (and very adventurously!) navigated us to the whales when there was a sighting.

The tour goes something like: 30 minutes to get out of the bay (which includes a brief tour of the bay, including El Arco and sea lions); 90 minutes whale watching; 20 minutes to get back to the Marina. It was perfect.

One of the benefits of booking with CaboTrek is that their boats aren’t the inflatable types. This was a real speed boat, which felt safe as we were racing out of the bay. And there’s even a shade!

I can’t wait to do this tour again someday! Thank you to the whole team! – via google
