The worst ever trip to the rainforest. Guide was nice, bilingual but uninformed and offered no information or knowledge about rainforests and fauna/flora and ecosystems. Never saw the visitor center or videos or even a waterfall! We were taken! We were taken to a dirty river to swim with a filthy bathroom. Do not patronize! – via

The rainforest was fine, however my wife forgot her shoes on their bus and when we contacted them they were supposed to send them (of course, my expense) but the owner mysteriously couldn’t find them. I wouldn’t trust this company!!! – via

We booked the rainforest/bio bay tour with Fine Line Excursions and Kayaking Puerto Rico because we didn’t want to navigate the roads as travellers. I wish now that I had just rented a car and figured it out.
Some people go on vacation for peace and quiet, but our first taxi driver/tour guide did not like silence at all. I understand it’s a tour group and all, but if I don’t want to talk or ask a million questions then that should be allowed and I shouldn’t be ridiculed for it– I’m paying for the service after all. Other than that, the rainforest was beautiful and I’m definitely happy we got to explore a bit of it despite the busy crowds at La Mina falls.
Kayaking was awesome, but that’s a separate company.
Then, let’s see– the driver changed on the way back to the hotel. We originally had to walk to a different hotel to be picked up but this driver OFFERED to drop us off at our actual hotel (not the one we walked to) because he said he knew the area really well and went drinking there all of the time. We were the last couple to be dropped off and this driver could not figure out how to get us to the road he said he was familiar with. He then began ordering my husband and I to direct him where to go and was upset when we tried to use GPS to be helpful. We ended up going the wrong way for awhile and I kept saying he can just drop us back off at the hotel we walked to (the one we had been picked up from originally). He kept saying no that he’ll get us to our actual hotel and then began getting upset with us for not getting him there. WE DO NOT LIVE IN PUERTO RICO. Finally, we’re on the right road, about 10 minutes away and he says he’s in the wrong lane and can’t keep going. He pulls over and essentially kicks us out, but before driving off he says “oh wow this is a really bad neighborhood, too” and leaves. This is the same guy who said he hangs out on that road all of the time. We had to walk about 15 minutes to our hotel, past people with needles sticking out of their arm and other sketch people. Fortunately we made it back okay, but we decided to never use a taxi again after that.
We paid this company to reduce the stress of driving ourselves, and unfortunately the end of our fun day out was the most anxiety ridden and stressful experience to our vacation. I wanted to write this review so that the company could know what had happened and to hopefully prevent this from happening again. – via
