I’ve done two separate sessions of snowboarding lessons and while the instructors were absolutely awesome (Lydia and Dustin), I’m disappointed in the lack of organization in registration for said lessons. Online it says you can do a private lesson and for free bring someone of similar skill level to the lesson. I did this for the first lesson, but got hassled by one of the lesson coordinators at the halfway point of my two hour lesson. She put my lesson on hold while she clarified, determined that I was in fact correct, but I received no apology and no additional time. Apparently they just recently increased their prices to allow this as it was convoluted to add a second person, but no one seems to be aware of the change. And it’s definitely not streamlined whatsoever, even now, so I feel like I’m paying more but not able to bring a second person, so it really defeats the purpose. My second lesson was similar in registration issues, but I gave up and didn’t try and bring a second person. I had emailed requesting a certain instructor, but got an email back telling me if I wanted to sign up for lessons, to call. I had already scheduled my lesson online and stated that in my email. Just small frustrations that added up to a subpar experience, especially at the price tag I was paying. For the same cost, I can do the same thing at 49, but actually can add the second person, so I’ll be taking all my lessons there from now on. – via
