Super fun experience. The boat ride was pretty choppy and a little more stressful than I had imagined but ultimately still fun. You stop first at a reef near the key, then anchor the boat and hang out on the key for about 30min. The part of the reef I saw was mostly dead. They won’t let you in the water without a life jacket which was not cool and ruined the snorkeling. Cayo Icacos was beautiful and it’s worth going on mini boats or one of the big catamarans. I think the mini boat is something is fun to do once, in the future I would take a catamaran to be able to spend more time on the key. Less than 30min felt rushed. - via
