This was our second time to a Sandals Jamaican resort, last year we went to Southcoast on our Honeymoon and this year we came to the Royal Caribbean. Overall the resort is great, very nice room, great views, and excellent staff. The only negative we experienced this trip was the food. We ordered a steak at 3 different restaurants, the Mediterranean, the Italian, and the French restaurant. All 3 were inedible. This is completely unlike any other dining experience we have had at Sandals, I believe (and am hoping) it was just a bad batch from the supplier but it is still something that should’ve been caught and never made it to the table. Other than the food issues the trip was amazing, great service from all the staff including our Butlers, great beaches and great view! If you are between the two resorts we would recommend Southcoast - ignoring the food issues the Southcoast resort seemed a lot more “active” with bigger/better pools, bars and more beach space. Even with our negative dining experiences I would still recommend Royal Caribbean and we may even find ourselves back here one day! - via
