My wife and me did paragliding here in May 2022. Excellent experience.
The emphasis on safety is excellent.
They start with checking your weight. They then attach you to the harness. The harness is checked three times to ensure it is safely secured. They then attach your harness to a pole on the ground so you know what to expect in the air. They wait for a good wind to ensure a safe take off and take off only if it is safe. All pilots are certified and have undergone training in different parts of India. My pilot had done over 6000 jumps. The centre was inaugurated by the CM of Sikkim which ensures that its credible.
The most comforting part is that we saw them turn away customers who were willing to pay because they were either overweight or because the wind wasn't right. This gave us comfort that they prioritize safety over money.
