I've been on the Kyalami dive boat before and had an amazing time.
This time not so much; the marine forecast was for 2-3 foot seas, it turned out to be 3-5 foot seas. Being a deep-V hull... the boat was being tossed around pretty significantly. But; we can't control the weather.
My real issue with the trip was that the boat was badly overcrowded. Tanks in the rack were actually touching each other... making it extremely difficult to put on your gear. There was also very little space to store your things.. and; quite a few very rude passengers. One actually slammed me in the head above my left eye with his tank when he boarded the boat after the first dive. As I sat there bleeding, he didn't even have the decency to say he was sorry or ask how I was. Needless to say, I I had to sit out the second dive.
This boat has a GREAT Crew and a GREAT Captain, they are a real pleasure to work with. I just think they should limit their divers to about 15 - 18 people maximum.
