If you want to see thousands of them. Swim to the end of the lake. It’s shallow there and there everywhere.

We ended it with a Japanese shipwreck.

Ourot. It’s the woman that makes the rules and runs the village. She appoints the chief. They usually end up as a couple. There are a handful of villages in each state. Palau is made up of 16 States
We visit the Ordomel village.
Kesebekuu war canoe. Used to take over other villages years ago. Now it’s used for traditional celebrations.
Ngardmau Waterfall
It’s about a 40 minute hike to get to the waterfall. It was a rocky step path and a few beautiful small bridges. You use the same path going in and coming out. There use to be a monorail that takes you there. Due to no money funds. No one maintained it. They stopped it years ago.
Stone monuments in Ngerchelong
The villages of this side of the island tried to build a Bai so they can hold they're meetings to take care of this part of the land. They did it in the middle of the night because they don’t want the locals watching them build it. They never got to finish it. the single stones was the remains of what was left.
The Btachs tree. It grows on land or in water. Locals use the little green fruit to mix with coconut oil to use on your body if you had a scrape or a cut. It’s also a good defense for termites if they build a house using the wood from the tree. Fruit bats love to eat this fruit and everybody here loves to eat fruit bats.
Ribtal (The sunken city) The legend. There was a bread fruit tree In the middle of the village and they thought if they cut down one of the limbs it would bring more fish to the village. This led the villages to think, we don’t have to go fishing. As they kept cutting down some of the tree it kept adding more water into the village. Eventually it all sunk and now nothing is left.
