If you’re looking for an exceptional dive experience with an easygoing and professional crew then look no further than 3 Willy’s. My experience was beyond expectations and the team there went above and beyond to make it enjoyable, memorable and most of all fun. They have a great boat crew who makes your time on the water seamless and fun, the food is fantastic and the scenery/dives are what you come to a place like Thailand for.
Initially my intent was to complete my open water certification which consisted of a pool day for initial training and two fantastic days on the water learning the intricacies of diving. I had some previous experience diving in Belize so I wasn’t completely foreign to the experience of scuba diving, but that being said if this is your first time diving you will have no problems feeling comfortable and confident with these guys.
The real difference maker for me was my instructor Frank, he truly went above and beyond to make our groups experience the best it could possible be. Frank has a genuine passion for what he does and it shows in the care and detail he puts into teaching his students. He made sure you knew what was necessary to dive safely and confidently, but at the same time made it fun and relaxed. By the end of the open water course I felt I had the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and confidently dive anywhere else in the world, which is what I was hoping for when I signed up. Initially I intended to fly out to my next destination, but after wrapping up the open water course on a beautiful Friday night, coming into Phuket on a beautiful sunset I couldn’t help but think I may not be so fortunate next time to get such a quality instructor. So I cancelled my plans and booked the Advanced diving course with Frank. When it comes to diving you want to make sure you know you’re stuff and I knew with Frank I’d get the type of training to give me the skill set to dive around the world confidently and competently. A couple of days later we wrapped up the Advanced diving course (another team member also booked the advanced with Frank as well from the open water course, so I wasn’t the only one who felt this way). Needless to say I can’t say enough good things about Mae, the boat crew and my instructor Frank as well. As I’m sure you can tell by now I would strongly suggest if you have an interest in diving, or are travelling to Phuket and looking for a great crew to dive with then these are the guys you want to call!
