The best part of this camp is the location. It is close to many great waves. The guides are all talented surfers and have good vibes. They help to inspire confidence. Shout out to David, Randy, and Jerry, you guys rock. The surfing here is full value. I did two sessions a day, 7 days straight, which left me feeling satisfied.
I would not recommend this camp to beginners, as beginner lessons are not included and are expensive. Also most of the surrounding waves have sharp reefs and can be shallow. Go to Kuta beach if you want to surf for the first time.
The surf board rentals are not included in the price and they don’t have a great selection to choose from, especially for the price they are asking. British pounds?! I’d recommend renting a board from one of the many near by surf shops, where you can find a higher quality selection at a lower price.
The camp itself has a nice social atmosphere. I enjoyed the hangout areas. Our room was super basic and left a lot to be desired. I would have expected more for the price.
The one thing I really enjoyed about this camp was the food. The kitchen here crushes it. Big and tasty breakfasts every morning to give you power to surf. And something good and original for lunch everyday.
5 stars for the surf guides and kitchen, 2 stars to the ownership. I emailed the camp with questions after we booked and paid over 1000$ and got no response. - via
