I had a horrible experience with this place and the owner there. They gave me a old and worn off surfboard where the string broke after being in the water for 10 min. I lost the board in the waves and it broke in the exact same spot where it broke before. The guy from the hostel who was with me said that’s not my fault at all and I’m not responsible for that. Back at the hostel the owner wanted $250 for a new board and basically said it’s my problem. They tried to act like we’re the best bros and like they want to help me but just wanted to make as much money as possible out of this situation. I ended up paying $150 and left the place.
In my opinion they put me in great danger and then scammed me. There are definitely better and more friendly places to stay in San Juan Del Sur. - via
