A non-local instructor told us in the morning (10am) without really lifting his head that it was low tide and therefore no canoes are available for rent. My cell phone and a local fisherman have confirmed the opposite. When we then wanted to pick up a canoe in the afternoon at two it was really low tide and no longer possible.
From a professional diving instructor right next to the water you should be able to expect that he knows how the tides are. We were put off by the arrogance and indifference of the team! Avoid! - via
