The room was good for our stay. We had 2 comfortable beds, an AC and 2 fans, but no TV. The bathroom was a bit problematic with the sliding shower door and water heating, but very functional and good quality. We're being a bit nit-picky here.
Service was very good as well and all the employees were extremely friendly and well-mannered. They left our room spick and span and even put a little design on the towels and quilts!
However, the food that they provided superseded our expectations. The food is beyond restaurant quality and you WILL NOT regret eating here.
We arrived during the wet season, so the tide was high and was constantly raining. We did not see a single bit of blue sky at all during our stay. As a result, the beach looked dreary, occasionally inhabited by stray dogs. BUT we think this would be a great location if we arrived at the correct time.
So here's a pro tip: Visit here during Sri Lanka's dry season (April - September) to have blue skies and a fantastic beach. - via
