Agua Clara Diving is THE BEST diving center in Tulum. I pursued my PADI Open Water Certification with the help of instructor Hairo, including two days of scuba diving in Casa Cenote (breathtaking mangroves, fish, and a friendly crocodile) and a final day diving at Cozumel Reef, the second largest reef in the world.
I could not have asked for a better instructor than Hairo. Three reasons why Hairo is the best:
1) He is a very thorough teacher, taking time to sit down before each dive to walk me through upcoming drills for the day. This helped me feel prepared before each dive.
2) He is a fantastic coach when it comes to actually getting into the water - I felt calm and safe the entire time, despite not having dived before.
3) One of my favorite things about Hairo is how intelligent he is! On the car rides to each dive, I found myself so impressed with all of the knowledge he would share. Whether it was about scuba itself, the culture of Mexico, or a history lesson - he is such an interesting person to have a conversation with.
4) Bonus reason: Hairo is hilarious, and so nice!
