Good ATV ride in the jungle.
The ride was part of a cruise with a stop in Puerto Plata, DR. The ride to the park was a bit long on a bumpy Dominican road, but that is why you go there - to soak up the sunny days. Lots of great views of the rural countryside.
The Polaris atvs were in near new condition and were plenty for the mixed riding that we went on. The safety gear was first rate (and clean) with water provided at one of the stops. There were plenty of 'wranglers' to make sure everything went well.
The tour guides took pictures of the riders, offered us coffee at a rural stop and were attentive. The groups were small so everybody had fun. The speeds were appropriate to the age and skill of the tourists.
I enjoyed my stop at Amber Cove with some atv riding.

2023 Update
We took a side by side tour.
The Honda SxS were in good condition and would do 60 km/hr on the highway!
The actual ride time was a tad short but the overall experience was top notch. The tour guide PJ was excellente!

We took a 'tour to Higuey'.
The half day tour in an open truck was just what we like as it gives you a slow motion view of the countryside, small villages and the city.
Points of interest was the huge and magnificent church in Higuey, and tour of a forest farm with lunch.
The lunch was the standard DR family lunch - and it was excellent! Rice and beans with fried chicken sounds bland - but it was very tasty and filling!
I had taken this tour 3 years ago and was happy to see that they skipped the Higuey shops tour and the children's school tour.
It was a great way to see a bit of the real DR and spend most of the day off the resort. - via
