I was down in Veradero Cuba for a week with my step-dad, and took some time to re-learn to Kite Surf. I've had a number of days of training a few years ago in various places -from Cabarete to Key West, and of course Canada. My skill level is still basic but I want to comment that the people in the school here are very friendly and I learned a great deal from the one day (~3 hours) of training. From increasing my kiting skills, body dragging in the water and learning to de-power gradually as you rise out of the water (so you don't fall forward into the water). The tips given to me definitely gave me an increased level of confidence that I will go to the next level when I can get out again in Canada. A great place to learn the basics, trial for a day to see if you might take up the sport, etc. And also cost effective down here. Thanks Again!!!! Some Notes: there is a Hop-on/Hop-off bus that runs constantly from the hotels to Veradaro. The kite area I went to was at 37th street and Beach road (exit bus at 36 st. stop). The bus is $5 USD for unlimited uses per day. Taxi's were $20 USD and lots of old cars are available. We got a 1927 Ford convertible. - via google
