I signed up to learn diving here because everyone else in the reviews seems to be raving about how kind and patient the instructors here are. Imagine my shock to have had the misfortune to be taught diving by Julie, who is both rude and impatient. I was nervous about learning diving, and she was not only not understanding about it, but treated me as a nuisance. When I couldn’t do a skill well, or was nervous about doing what to me was a difficult skill underwater or in open water, she raised her voice at me and yelled at me like a teacher scolding a child. She was unclear in her instructions, and if I tried to ask a question to clarify what she meant, she shut me off. As a result, I fumbled around unsure of how to go about preparing my equipment, and it was the Thai boat crew or other diving instructors that noticed that my equipment was worn the wrong way, and they were the ones who helped me get it right before I stepped off the boat. I felt so unsafe and disrespected. The whole experience learning from Julie was horrible. - via
