If you are looking for a professional yet friendly place to get Scuba Certified you've found it! Diver's Paradise undeniably offers the greatest value course in all of Houston and the surrounding areas. They conveniently break the course up into two weekends, which is great for people with tough work schedules. The first weekend we went to class in the morning and did pool activities in the afternoon. When I entered class I imagined we were about to listen to some man drown on for 4 hours about tons of scuba lingo (I couldn't have been more wrong)! Dave Garden is the instructor, he is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. Furthermore, Dave and his Dive Master Greg truly teach classes because they love the sport of diving. They want to ensure that all divers learn in a safe, enjoyable environment. They were extremely adamant about safety, it was their number one priority throughout the course. To ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable, they kept the teacher student ratio very low (Throughout the classroom, pool, and lake portions it was never more than 3 students per Dive Instructor/Master, which you will not find anywhere else)! It was a very comforting experience to know I was in their hands. I came out of the class with some great scuba friends and a proficient understanding of Open Water Diving!
