I had the most amazing experience whale watching this morning. We saw an incredible number of whales, including a breach, and a couple even came right up to our boat.
Angie, our marine biologist guide, was super knowledgeable and shared a lot — without overwhelming us with information. Our captain was also great and quickly (and very adventurously!) navigated us to the whales when there was a sighting.
The tour goes something like: 30 minutes to get out of the bay (which includes a brief tour of the bay, including El Arco and sea lions); 90 minutes whale watching; 20 minutes to get back to the Marina. It was perfect.
One of the benefits of booking with CaboTrek is that their boats aren’t the inflatable types. This was a real speed boat, which felt safe as we were racing out of the bay. And there’s even a shade!
