I went with One Ocean because they seemed most reputable, but was thoroughly disappointed.
First, their facilities was really in poor shape - rental gear coming apart, tiny boat for 10+ divers, 10L tanks for deep dives.
I realize that this is Africa, but even compared to the other boats around it seemed inadequate.
Also the guide seemed unprofessional, kicking the corals and disturbing the wildlife, not noticing the group pace, and we ended up with really short dives, and mostly chasing him.
But what really upset me most was that after I was offered 120$ the day before, they said they price is 125$+5% credit card fee.
They called the guy who offered the price and he denied offering it, but we were 2 there, and the price was discussed and repeated, so I'm certain that it wasn't my mistake.
In 20 years of diving, I've never had such a bad experience with a dive shop, it's unbelievable that PADI considers this a 5-star dive center. - via
