Go as close as possible to a new moon and preferable pick the later tour since it usually doesn't get completely dark until 6-7 PM. All tour companies operate out of the same compound and they all have similar setups. Peniel access tours were fine with the tour guide explaining some facts about the biolumiscent cyanobacteria. They did not use a tarp to see the biolumiscence probably due to good visibility during my visit. Would recommend. - via
