I recently completed my ASA 101 sailing certification with Captain Buck and Commodore Glenn, and had a fantastic experience. The theory portion was led by Commodore Glenn, who was extremely knowledgeable and connected the material to visuals, videos, and his personal experiences, which made the classroom portion as engaging as possible, and prepared me well for the practical portion. The next two days, Captain Buck helped me apply what I had learned on a 30' Newport sailboat, and was comprehensive, courteous, friendly and hilarious all at the same time. He made our cohort (3 trainees, including myself) feel very comfortable ahead of the written exam, and gave us roughly 10 hours of sailing experience over the course of the weekend, which helped me reinforce all the content I had learned in the class.
