Westin’s concierge team booked me on the morning group lesson on very short notice. Hanalei Bay is an awesome place to learn surfing as it has a sandy bottom (unlike Waikiki)and during winter the water is warm and the strong help us to ride a bit longer. The instructor was very patient, helped me with numerous tips, boosted my confidence whenever I messed up and the conditions were perfect for me to apply the techniques to stand up on the longboard and do the while riding the wave. - via
