What a beautiful resort with a little island just off shore, which was also fun to visit. We chose Sandals for the diving. I recommend stopping at the dive shop the day of arrival and get signed up for the whole week...that's what we did and we got to dive everyday (some days people got bumped because there were too may signed up...last to sign up were the first bumped). The diving boat was packed everyday except 1 day because the water was rough. The diving was decent but we did repeat dive sites 2 of the 6 days which was a bummer considering they boast an excess of 20 dive sites. We did 2 dives each day and the shop brought water and snacks on board the boat which was awesome. We typically had 30-40 minute surface intervals. There was small potty on board (#1 only) but a relief since several of us had to use it between dives. Also, Sandals advertises night dives, but this is an extra cost, which was fine for us...the dive shop signed us up and said we needed 6 people minimum so it never happened. The shop did a decent job of dividing the divers up by skill level and assigning you to a guide which was nice. We were expecting a quiet week at the resort, but the night life at this resort was hopping every night. Our room was beautiful and looked EXACTLY like the pictures on the website. It was a Butler level room and honestly, that program needs some revamping. It was almost a chore to keep the Butlers informed...our butler team was a group of friendly, kind, and hardworking individuals, but how Sandals promotes it and how it functions are not quite the same. Some other guests said they almost never saw their Butlers (even though there were things the guests were requesting), so at least our Butlers were responsive to our needs. We will go back to Sandals, but we won't spend extra to book the Butler level. Our room was located off the "Party Pool" and close to the night life, so it was loud at night in our room (no open doors and listening to the ocean with an evening breeze) which was a bummer for us. If someone would have told us that when making the reservations we could have made an informed decision on where in the resort we wanted to be. There were a lot of food choices available and the food was good, a lot of seafood available. The chocolate chip cookies and crepes were AMAZING! There were two gorgeous pools: one pool was heated, one wasn't, which was a bummer because the "party pool" was the heated one, so you had to put up with noise to be in the pool (the other pool was very cold in January). EVERY hot tub was PACKED the whole week. The beaches there and the water were just as pictured on the website! This location is truly GORGEOUS! The resort is advertised as "non-smoking" but there were multiple times that people were smoking at pool side and on the beaches. The spa is ultra expensive and seemed like only couple message rooms were available. We only went once though, so it could be different. Also, there were high pressure sales after the spa treatment to purchase products so be prepared to say no, unless you don't mind. One thing I loved about this location was there are cats on property to help with the pest control. Being an animal lover I was concerned for their care but management educated me that there is an entire devision devoted to cat care (I want that job!) and those kitties have condos for protection from the elements, food, fresh water, and vet care regularly. In summary, If you just go to dive it is a pretty great deal. For those of us that just want to dive while there, it would be better if you could have access to the dive shop ahead of your trip...there are lots of questions a diver has prior to a trip but with Sandals, you just have to wait until you get there unless you want to pay for an international phone call. If Sandals is reading this... it would be great if you could develop a "behind the scenes cat interaction" so the staff that - via
