Not sure where to start. Trevor and Tara have poured heart …
5.0.0

Not sure where to start. Trevor and Tara have poured heart and soul into their beachside surf camp and it shows. Transportation was seamless, I came into Liberia and the boarder crossing was a complete non event, and maybe took 15 minutes - total ride to camp was plus/minus 2.5hrs and you see some cool stuff along the way! On reaching the camp both Trevor and Tara were there to greet me, make introductions, hand me a beer and give a quick intro to the area - day before I left a group rolled in at 2am - Trevor was there to greet them! The camp is right on a beautiful bay, no surfing on the bay unless its massive elsewhere but within a 15 min walk you can be at a fun beach break. There are a few restaurants and bars scattered on the bay, which are fun to take a break at and allowed for some later night excursions. That said there is no need to go anywhere else if you dont want to, the camp is super fun and comfortable to hang out at, the food is awesome homemade Nica food and varies a lot - they do an awesome job of rotating it, and as the web site says the beer and rum is endless!! The rooms are simple but very comfortable and kept super clean, with a daily cleaning, typically when you are out for your first morning surf. I had access to two solid surf sessions a day, which were mostly boat accessed with the mjority of breaks being 10-15 mins away - the furtherest was 45 mins, Playgrounds and was a really fun wave. We had offshore winds all week and swell that was plenty good for me - intermediate surfer - one break Panga Drops is a heavy wave and breaks bigger than the rest, worth experiencing but also asking the right questions of the coaches before you go out. The coaches were all amazing and their english was really good, they were willing to coach if you wanted it, talk you through positioning for the various breaks and areas to be careful of or just leave you alone but make sure they kept an eye on you - its really whatever you want out of it and there are a few different package levels too. The group of folks that were there made the experience, everyone was encouraging of each other and enjoyed hanging out when not surfing - or reading on one of the hammocks under the new second level open Yoga/Dinner spot that gives access to viewing killer sunsets. I'd highly recommend a trip to visit Trevor and Tara, go as a group, go solo - whatever works but you can be assured you will be looked after, have a blast and if the waves are right which I hear they are often, our week was awesome, you will score relatively uncrowded waves with a friendly attitude in the water. Trevor/Tara thanks for making the break a blast!! - via google
