I waited a while to post this because I never want to write a negative review without thinking on it, first. But I think speaking honestly about the experience here is important for future guests, because it is expensive and people should have the full picture when they're spending their money. The good things- most of the staff here were honestly pretty great. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The bad- the room backed up to a construction site with a cess pool that stank to the heavens when you walked outside. The beach has a breakwater that leaves the water cloudy, and has vendors kayaking by all day to sell things. But the really disappointing thing was that the food was just not good. And I don't need fancy- if you give me oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken, I'd be more than happy for a week in Jamaica. What you get here is cafeteria food served in hot dining rooms that are billed as five-star experiences. It's disappointing to leave a review like this, because I did enjoy my time there, but I thought it was important. - via
