Avoid these companies. I booked a day trip to the Similan islands through Phuket Dive Tours. The dive was outsourced to South Siam Divers. We arrived at the dive boat after a 2.5-hour minibus ride and 1.5 hour speed boat ride. Our first dive was where the boat was moored for the night, and we were swimming over sand for around 35 minutes out of the 50-minute dive, and the rest was some sorry looking half dead corals. They were just too lazy to move the boat. - via
