After a relatively enjoyable week in Bali, Bunaken Cha Cha was on a totally different level. The staff here are super friendly - Reiko, Agnes, Cindy, Mandy, Mul….and others… and I really did not want to leave. Perfect location for divers, perfect for snorkelling, but also perfect for people who don’t like either of the above. I went into the village most days (45 mins one-way) partly to walk off the amazing food prepared by Agnes and her team..Italian, Mexican, Indonesian, French - there is really no cuisine that she has not mastered. I like boats so I also hired a local boatman - with help from the guys at the resort - and spent three memorable days exploring the nearby islands. I can’t remember when I last had such a great holiday. The rooms, by the way, are spacious and comfortable and it is lovely to go
to sleep at night with the sound of waves. If you want to experience Indonesia at its best, away from crowds of beer-swilling tourists, try this amazing little archipelago. You will not be disappointed…. - via
