A truly amazing island experience. Contrary to some old reviews I've read, our experience was memorable and fun. Our December trip had us encountering slightly blustery winds, but nothing too bad. The service was great, and we didn't feel wanting.
Our highlights :
- Private boat ride where we saw so many large wild turtles swimming around us, maybe around 12 or more (they can swim fast!).
- Grounding Journey massage
- Private BBQ dinner on our last night
The food was lovely, with new flavor experiences like their Amanpulo Roll (Japanese), Aklan Oyster Bao, Sinigang Grilled Pork ribs (both in the Clubhouse). My regular favorite was their Smoothie bowl for brekkie.
The only disappointment we had was the wagyu grilled (Runway Menu) for our private BBQ dinner... it was not cooked medium rare as requested, and was a bit tough and chewy. We ended up only eating 5-6 slices, with so much left over. At Php15,000 per head, I was expecting a whole lot more in terms of quality. Wish we ordered the Cochinillo instead.
But everything else in our stay was delightful, and attention to detail was impressive. We truly enjoyed our Beach Casita stay. 4D3N felt a bit short. Maybe +2 days would have been just right. - via
