After carefully reviewing the different dive shops and reviews we had eventually decided to go with ecological divers as it was one of the best reviewed ones. We do value quality when it comes to diving as we’re still new to it and want to make sure we go in safe hands!
First disappointment, the price we were given when first coming to the shop had increased by USD20 each when paying. When asked about it we were given a « discount » of USD5 each..we thought it was all still worth it but the way it was brought in once we had to make the payment was not very honest.
The morning of leaving we were told to wait for a boat to go to their « dive shop ». We were in fact taken to another dive shop provider. Without being told they handed us over to someone else with completely different standards. We were given old equipment with pretty bad quality and the people we went with didn’t know what the plan was for our day.
During the day, our dive instructor broke his mask and didn’t have any other so could not be of much help for the rest of the day and worst came when we were told we were lying about what was supposed to be included in our tour. We were given no lunch and barely any water on our « day tour » that was supposed to include food and rum punch.
Worst experience in Belize and all in all I would not recommend Ecological Divers for their commercial behaviours (can’t say we experienced anything else than that) - via
