It was the very first time scuba diving for my girlfriend and I, and we could not have chosen a better place for our PADI Open Water certification.
Our instructor Kadek was AMAZING - he was patient, experienced, kind, funny, and very professional! He took the time to walk us through all the diving concepts, both in and out of the water. We felt very safe with him the entire time, and he made the dives truly special by spotting a TON of different things under water (octopus, morays, leaf scorpion fish, nudibranch, and the more typical usual suspects: turtle, clown fish, trumpet fish, eel etc...). We had a really amazing time with him during our 3 days course, and cannot recommend him enough!
We stayed at Kura Kura Divers Lodge (part of Bali Reef Divers) which we also recommend since it makes the course studying, transportation to dive sites and the first-day pool dives all very smooth. All of the staff there was really great - everyone was kind and helpful, and the food was good. - via
