Constructive criticism. I booked 1 week in advance for a 1pm jump in Barwon Heads for my daughter and I. I was warned that it may change to 11am which it did 2 days prior. On the morning of the jump, a text changed it back to 1pm. Ok. At 11am, that changed to 2pm: all via text with a number to call if needed.
We arrived just before 2, signed in and were told to enjoy the sun in the yard and we'd be called. 40 mins later, no call. We asked if we had time to get some food which we did and were back by 3:15. Waited another 20 mins. Still no call. The call didn't come until after 4pm! It's tense enough waiting to skydive without an unknown wait. The jump and the instructors, Luiz and Sam, were awesome but we should have been told that 35 people had been booked at 2pm and we were group 7!. Communication is key. We could've climbed a mountain while we waited!
If I were running it, I'd have music playing and a staff member with a clipboard giving updates, even commentary on the jumpers as they landed. It's a fun activity and it could have been much funner.
The poor service at the front desk did not inspire confidence in the business as a whole. I had faith in our instructors, Luiz and Sam, but I was wary of the organisation that employed them and that was as scary as the jump. - via
