Dive Zone Scuba,
Thanks for the amazing journey.
Through your thorough instruction, patience, and caring, I advanced from barely knowing how to swim to confidently and competently traveling the world diving to 130ft. I meet the most amazing new friends and explored places I never even imagined.
Your shop is a hidden gem for the technical knowledge you bring to the sport. At first glance, the shop may appear disorganized, but every piece of gear requested quickly appears. And, most importantly, the equipment is perfect. The gear you selected in building my kit served me very well on every dive trip. All the gear is in great condition, and the kit feels like a part of my body.
And, with all this valuable instruction and expertise, you offer very competitive prices that I have yet to find a better price online or at another dive shop for gear or instruction. And you are constantly saving me money. I can always depend on the shop for a short bungee cord or some reference line saving me the expense of having to purchase a larger quantity. The video you posted showing me how to turn my backplate into a carry-on backpack saved me $100s in airline baggage fees.
Tanya and Chris, the way you are constantly open and always willing to make time to talk Scuba make Dive Zone Scuba like a second home to me. - via
Outstanding service and very convenient to diving La Jolla cove. Chris had everything I needed covered to dive and Rick was the best dive master.
Chris kindly answered my many questions before the dive day. He worked to get everything set up and ready to go ahead of time. The shop met all my aire and equipment needs.
Rick has a very casual diving style, but a very keen eye for each diver's needs. He was quick to note any equipment configuration concerns and clearly stated the dive plan as well as answered all questions. The dive went smoothly as he guided me through the cove. We had an excellent experience around 90 feet and popped up very close to the shore for a short swim back. Outstanding day. - via
Nice dive shop. Good divemasters
All their equipment served me well. Masks and defog were good. BCDs and fins all good. Wetsuits seemed pretty new, with enough to customize thickness.
I did 5 shore dives and 3 boat dives with them. The shore dives are right outside the shop at Kontiki House Reef. It's a pretty good place actually, lots of nudibranches, a sardine ball, a turtle, snakes, morays, a mantis shrimp, even some cuttlefish once too.
Divemasters for the shore dives were able to point out lots of small critters and nudibranches.
They do not have their own boat. Boat dives will probably share a boat with other dive shops in the area. Experience varies on the weather and what boat you get. - via
